Nissan throws veil off futuristic and pleasingly energy-efficient e-NV200 electric van

Remember how vans and people-movers used to be chunky and look as trashy as possible? Well, things seem to have changed these days and Nissan has just given us a sneak peek at the van of the future, the electricity-powered e-NV200. Somewhat reminiscent of its cousin, the Nissan Leaf, this van is based on the NV200 van that Nissan currently manufacturers, with the gas-powered insides ripped out, making way for an energy efficient drive-train. Also, production of this van will begin next year with Nissan planning to invest $126 million in the Barcelona plant, hiring more than 700 workers in the bargain!
