In the not very lull-like lull between Mother?s Day and Easter, there seems to be lots going on for families this weekend. East Twickenham kicks off the first of the local Easter Egg Hunts, plus we have is a special free event at Strawberry Hill House in honour of the Big Dig, free music lessons in Richmond, a truky unique Mother?s Day exoperience with tiny pigs and lots more.

East Twickenham Easter Egg Hunt

Mothers Day High Tea with Piggies
This weekend Kew Little Pigs is offering a special high tea experience for the wonderful mothers out there! Mums can enjoy a two hour visit including an hour grooming and feeding the tiny piggies, then high-tea with cakes and finally some more time with the pigs, getting her pictures taken. ?30 per person. bookings from 9am onwards. National Learn to Play Day
On Saturday, between 10am ? 5pm, Ritz Music in Richmond is offering free free taster lessons for adults and children in a range of musical instruments, including drums, piano, keyboards, guitar, ukelele, violin and cello. There will also be some live performances from teachers. It?s first come first served so be sure to contact them and book your taster lesson. More details
The Big Dig and Seed Swap
Fancy a fun outdoor afternoon with the family? As part of the nationwide Big Dig, Strawberry Hill House is hosting a seed planting event between 12 and 3pm on Saturday. Join in to sow seeds, plant vegetables in the garden and network with other gardeners over a cup of tea. There will be sowing demonstrations and an opportunity to swap seeds. Dramacube offers fun and exciting drama workshops for 5-11s, culminating in a performance for Mums and Dads on Saturday 30th March. Running every Saturday morning at the St. John?s Centre, Isleworth. Children can join the current term at any date up until Saturday 23rd March, with no prior experience necessary. More details
Storytelling Adventures (18mths ? 7 yrs)
At these weekly interactive, drama-based workshops, toddlers and children go on a fun, storytelling adventure by playing all of the roles in a story. Lil Dragons (ages 4-6)
Lil Dragon?s offers age specific martial arts education in Twickenham within a positive, safe and educational environment. Aimed specifically at children from 4-6, this programme is structured to provide children with a fun and safe learning environment. Little Kickers and Little Rugby
Little Kickers and Little Rugby are classes for young children that use sports as a fun way for boys and girls to get engaged in physical activity. Classes are split by age group and start as young as 18 months through to age 7. Fun for kids at Orleans Park Sports Centre
Orleans Park Sports Centre has a range of activities for children this term, including Weekend fun for Toddlers, which runs on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am ? 10.55am and Roller Lessons and Family Roller Disco, which runs on Sunday afternoons for ages 5+. Winter Weekends at Hounslow Urban Farm
Hounslow Urban Farm has a range of special activities on offer during weekends, including Owl displays and Reindeer and other animal Encounters where you can interact with animals and maybe even help to give them some food.
