As they tend to do each year, the lovely guys and gals of Apple are teasing us with a reminder that the company is participating in the usual Black Friday festivities. There are no details about actual deals just yet, so we'll just have to use last year's deals as a reference point.
On Black Friday 2011, as a post by 9to5 Mac's Mark Gurman reminds us, Apple?discounted $101 from a variety of Macs, while iPads were discounted?by $41 to $61. Back then, you could also snag an iPod Nano marked down $11 or an iPod Touch that was priced as much as $41 less than usual.?There were also some small discounts on accessories such as Apple's AirPort devices, Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and so on, as well as on a selection of?third-party accessories.
Apple's been fairly consistent when it comes to the discounts offered each Black Friday, so we expect that this year won't be too different. The discounts basically sweeten purchases you might've already been planning to make, but they're not huge drops in price. Frankly, the reason the?annual sale is newsworthy is because it's hard to find Apple products marked down anywhere,?ever ? not just on Black Friday.
Apple's Black Friday deals will be part of a one-day event, taking place on Friday, Nov. 23. You'll be able to start shopping online after 3 a.m. ET/midnight PT. If you prefer to walk into a good ol' brick-and-mortar store, then keep in mind that Apple's retail locations will have extended hours during the shopping event.
