Hello lovely people! We hope this week finds you well, and gearing up for Thanksgiving. We are so excited to share a super easy, and fun little project with all of you today!
When we were asked to try out some of the fabulous crafts supplies from Martha Stewart, we were practically jumping up and down. Who wouldn?t tackle the chance to play with a bunch of amazing paints and super fun supplies?
While no ornaments or tree will deck our halls or grace our home until?after?Thanksgiving, sometimes Thanksgiving is the best time to get together with sweet friends and family to create something fun for the holidays.
These would also make the perfect gift, if we do say so ourselves.
Here?s how we did it: We had some plexiglass cut at our local favorite glass store for a whopping five dollars. This fave us ten plexiglass pieces cut to 4 x 4 & 6 x 6 sizes. Once home with our pieces, and leaving the protective paper on them, we drilled a hole with our drill into the top center.
Peeling the paper off, we then used our screen print of choice from Martha Stewart. Making sure the adhesive was face down and secure, we used some of her multipurpose paint and a squeegee to pull the paint across. Mind your edges, and make sure the paint went to every part of the screen print template. Pull your silk screen up, and wash it off to keep the paint from crusting up. The beauty of these? You can use them again and again. When your piece is dry, thread it with a ribbon or thread of choice.
Helpful hint: Be sure to choose a drill bit large enough to accommodate your fabric or ribbon. Wire edged ribbon make for easier threading!
I?ve used a lot of products, and usually resort to the DIY route, but these were such a fun and easy to use product? I had a blast making them. I repeated the same process with her stencils, as well in personalized ornaments for the kids. They?re already hanging on their doors.
Perfect for a little holidaisical fun, don?t ya think? We love some super easy, oh so pretty Martha Stewart Crafts!
Happy Friday, all. As usual let us know if you tried it, and have an inspired day!
Please see our?disclosure?here.
